After receiving his PhD in 2010, he made history in 2015 as the first Myanmar citizen to earn Russia's highest degree, Doctor of Sciences.

He has received several prestigious honors, including Outstanding Science Award (First Class) and Outstanding Management Award (First Class). In 2017, he was elected as a vice chairman of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) Myanmar Subsection. He became a chairman of the IEEE Myanmar Subsection in 2025 and continues to hold this position.

In 2019, he was initially appointed as a Young Scientist by Russia's Academy of Navigation and Motion Control, and within a year, he was promoted to a senior scientist. He collaborated with Russian experts on Russian Grant Projects, and their research findings were published internationally in the book "Decision Making In Air Traffic Control," available in both Russian and English. His book, "Superpower Competition and AI Technology," was published in Myanmar and earned the National Literary Award in 2022.

Dr. Tin Phone Kyaw is also actively involved in national-level projects, including Automation and Intelligent System, serving as the Project Director for its implementation.

With over 15 years in the telecom field, Anand has led impactful projects in 4G and 5G RAN automation, IoT, and Quantum Key Distribution. He holds six patents, with one granted, and is an accomplished IEEE Senior Member and IETE Fellow.

A frequent speaker at IEEE events, he's passionate about advancing the future of connectivity through innovative research and development.

In 2018, he also achieved his Habilitation. He has been a dedicated Portucalense University member since 1992, where he currently holds the position of Full Professor. Additionally, he serves as a visiting professor at several other esteemed universities. His teaching portfolio encompasses various subjects spanning undergraduate and post-graduate studies, and he supervises Ph.D. and Master's students.

He has significantly contributed to his field with over 300 papers, Scopus indexed, and peer-reviewed scientific publications in national and international journals and conferences. He serves as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for various journals and books, and has organized numerous special issues for JCR journals such as Telematics and Informatics, Future Generation Computer Systems, Cluster Computing, and Expert Systems.

His commitment to advancing research is reflected in his consistent participation as Conference Chair, Workshop Chair, Chief Guest, Keynote Speaker, and in the programme and scientific committees for national and international conferences. He held the MSc in Computation coordinator position for a decade, demonstrating his dedication to academic leadership.

He is a REMIT research centre steering committee member with extensive editorial experience and has co-edited several books. His professional affiliations include NSTICC, ACM, and IEEE. His primary research interests encompass Mobile Computing, AI in Higher Education, Machine Learning, and Digital Transformation.

He received the prestigious Atlas Elsevier Award in April 2019 for his contributions.

He has held research and academic positions at Uninova (2000–2001), the Institute for Systems and Robotics (2001–2003), and the New University of Lisbon (Teaching Assistant, 2003–2009). He was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Thessaly, Greece (2007–2008), and a Visiting Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University, USA (2011).

Dr. Oliveira is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of ACM, and an active member of the Portuguese Engineers Association (Ordem dos Engenheiros – Membro Efetivo). He has contributed extensively to research projects, published widely, and developed tools in his field.

His expertise spans Python programming, SQL, machine learning, data science, cloud computing, and API integration. Dr. Balan has published 18 research papers in Scopus, UGC, and SCI-indexed journals, and has filed three patents.

Previously, he served as a faculty member and led the IBM Center of Excellence at New Horizon College of Engineering, guiding numerous machine learning projects and industry collaborations. His career also includes roles at Subex, Mindtree, and Wipro, where he contributed extensively to software engineering and quality assurance.
